The CP series do lack bass as does almost every other sealed design i have ever used. It provides incredibly detailed midrange and very nice controlled mid bass, but suffers due to lack of cabinet space. I feel it allows the speaker to be driven louder without bass distortion and popping due to the cone having resistance and not mounted in "free air" I have only used the CP series as part of a 5/7.1 system with subwoofer so it was never a problem. I have a pair of the new CPCT260 here to play with at shop, but have not yet. I will say I have used the non back boxed CT380IDC with a Crestron SWAMP amp and was blown away with the amount of clean clear bass even with pop music. sounded very good. TBH, i would switch to the CT380 in one zone, and see what you think.
