The system is really pretty "primitive", only a set top box for now and MAYBE a dvd in the future. The budget isn't there for a Marantz.
I know the "cheapy" bare bone avr's don't have many features but I just need reliable 3.0 sound and MAYBE an additional input or two.
The Video switching portion is important as well. I've seen low budget AVRs (no name mention here) gave nothing but "pinky" snow screens.
