I would recommend the NR1504. NR1403 would work too but it's pretty primitive.
The Snap mini amps are not great for a main system with the TV handling multiple sources but I personally think they are a great solution for centralized distributed video systems where the switching is already taking place centrally.
The system is really pretty "primitive", only a set top box for now and MAYBE a dvd in the future. The budget isn't there for a Marantz.
I know the "cheapy" bare bone avr's don't have many features but I just need reliable 3.0 sound and MAYBE an additional input or two.
