That's interesting. There was a piece that sold on Amazon that we would use from time to time in our labs. It was inexpensive ($30-$40) and worked fairly well. It had no branding on it whatsoever.

About a year ago, I noticed Monoprice started selling that exact same unit, but with their logo on it. I just checked and don't see it on their site anymore. They were probably threatened by the HDMI police at one of the trade shows. They've been known to roam show floors and threaten all those they deem to be operating outside the laws of the licensing agreement.
