Maybe I've got brainlock but here goes...

System:
3 Zones(1,2,4), 1-XP-6, 2-T2C+, 1-T2x, Pio Elite SC-67 AVR for switching, Pio Elite BDP, Apple TV, etc.

Condition:
Zone 1 remote sources the BDP.
Then later the Zone 4 remote sources the same BDP also.
Then Zone 1 wants to switch sources to Apple TV

At this point is there a way the Zone 1 remote can know that Zone 4 is using the BDP and not power it off if true or go ahead and power it off if false?

So...
any way ensure one Zone 1 to not step on the toes of Zone 2 or 4 based on the other's current activity

I wish flags were system wide or we had an AND and OR statement like "if zone1 is on AND set to BD, OR, if zone2 is on and set to BD, do not power off.

I suppose I could nest system variable tests? but am confused by the "OR" part
