Do you mean that the OEM remote doesn't control the Xbox One, or is it just the universal remotes? If the OEM remotes work, why would you think that any update is required?
I haven't seen where Microsoft has released a remote for the XBox One. All I meant by hoping for an update was I see a lot of posts about double hops, and it would be nice to have discrete power commands and other commands to initiate base applications such as TV if they don't exist.
