There are a few good online sellers but I've purchased many times from Mike at Surf Remote. Give him a call and determine what a new MX900 costs -- don't think I paid $340 for a new one 6 years ago.

As for software, I believe Mike can choose to give you the Complete Control software which is better but is a little more intense. To keep using MX900 standalone version you'll need to "downgrade" the firmware on new MX900 using following procedure (which I located here on RC couple years ago) Hopefully someone else can confirm this still works.

Revising the firmware so it is compatible with the MX-900 Editor software requires the remote be in "Loader" mode. Make sure your hands are clean so you can hold on as you:

1. Remove one battery
2. Press and hold “POWER ON” and “MUTE” at the same time
3. Insert battery. Remote will start and display "Loader" at top
4. Release the buttons
5. Start the MX-900 Editor software
6. Create a new or select an existing configuration file
7. Connect remote via USB
8. Download to remote -- firmware compatible with MX-900 Editor software will be loaded on remote
