1016 worked for me using the remote for my Yamaha RX-A2000 receiver.
I realize this is an old thread, but it was such a pain to get this working that I felt I should share my solution. After all my searching on the web, I looked for the word Microsoft in the Yamaha user manual pdf. The code is listed for a Microsoft "VCR" hahahaaahaaa
