I programmed my first with a MX880 using CCP and the codeset in the database labeled "IR" worked fine.
There was a problem with access one day. The light reflecting off the white door into the face of the DVR killed the IR reliability. I covered the DVR with a towel and the everything worked normal. The takeaway from this is cover the front IR port completely or use the rear IR extender.
