Cubitus, glad I could share in your pain :) not!
I was going to go back out there regardless to play around with it. On the plus side for me, either he or his three year old apparently bounced something at the screen on his new 39" Toshiba on the main floor and it is trashed I guess. So I will swap that out while I'm at it, and get a new broken TV, for some parts, yay!
Dipdog, I believe I turned off all the video processing on the TV, but I will definitely double check. Also, I'm assuming you mean Game mode on the TV, not the receiver. (though I will mess with both)
