We could not remove a 700 series cable that we had 'temporarily' plugged into the HDMI2 port.

Today's hour killer. HDMI cable routed through wall, floor, wall - all buttoned up. TV on floor and plugged in for system tests (we were waiting for missing mount hardware). Mount h/w came in and could not disconnect the cable from the TV!

According to perfect path the hdmi ports on sammy tvs whose model # ends in F are out of spec - they are too tight.

The 'F' stands for ....

How to remove according to pp:

1. make sure cable end shell is in retracted position. grasp shell securely. try and pull out applying significant pressure and/or wiggle - (tried both wiggling the cable and my rear) - did not work for me.

2. try and insert a thin blade (such as an exacto) between the cable and the port to help depress the locking prongs (difficult to do as the side with the prongs were inboard).

3. grab shell with plyers and squeeze - shell should come apart into two pieces thereby allowing better access to try number 2. (the number 2 above - depending upon amount of pressure in number 1 you may have number 2'd your pants)

We gave up at number 1 - we were able to mount the tv without disconnecting the cable.

If the tv ever needs service and we cannot get the cable out without damaging it our fallback is a spare cat5e wire for use with an extender.
