I feel like I'm stuck in the mud on a couple of these installs lately, jeez....

An old friend just moved into a new house and I installed a mix of old and new equipment. There is a sync issue that is on his basement system that consists of a Sharp LC-70LE744, Sony STRDA5400ES, Sony BDPS570, and Comcast Motorola DCT or DCH3410 cable box.

The delay is very noticeable with blu rays or dvds. The cable box is good and bad depending on channel. But even watching on the same channel for a while there seems to be variation.

It's just a basic setup in cabinetry, HDMI in to the receiver, then to TV. I don't work with too many Sharps and rarely a Sony receiver but I have turned off most any 'extra' settings I could see.

I didn't goof with any wireless for the TV because he just moved in, but I was thinking about checking/updating firmware on the TV as well as running separate optical or digital coax for his sources.

Ideas? (sorry to be so needy :)
