Those are all great possibilities, and worth examining on each job. BUT the offending TX-NR series receivers I have installed all seem to have the same exact issue.
Lets say it is poor power grounding... on so many jobs? I usually follow behind the cable company and check for proper ground. I place the network equipment on battery back up and or surge depending on the rack.
If it were a power tolerance issue, would that be because of cheaply protected circuits in the HDMI circuitry?
I have since moved on to Maraantz and really like their product much better. If there are issues I will only use Zektor switches instead of a receiver altogether.-- It is possible to designate their audio outputs as L/C/R RR/LR.
