yes, it will only work with an MRX10 base station since it is a Total Control remote and a Total Control system must have an MRX10 base station. The current Android app available only works with Complete Control which uses an MRX1 or MRX2 base station. (and you won't be able to use the TRC1080 with Complete Control) Only the iPad app is available at this time for Total Control.
