The 550 we bought several years ago is beginning to fail, can't get the volume buttons to respond without herculean effort. Assuming I bungle my attempt to disassemble and refurbish it myself, what would be a suitable replacement?

Considering non-harmony this go-round since hearing of all the build quality/customer service/ company sale issues.

We don't have the latest and greatest components to contend with, Roku 2XS, older Pioneer AVR, Vizio TV & BD.

Thinking maybe a URC WR7 might be in our ballpark.
