Apparently in Central NJ they are having problems with these X1 boxes.
I was on a site where in one day they swapped out 5 defective X series boxes.
Apparently (and I could be wrong) these boxes have an xfinity access point built in so that it may lead to free wi fi anywhere a comcast customer has access to these new boxes.
My memory is bad but I thought that RNG codes worked with the new boxes......
