I installed a 4 bay last weekend in Pelham Centre (Fenwick), pointed to Buffalo and it got EVERYTHING!
Did I mention it was in the driveway 7 and a half feet above the ground?
I installed it on a ranch-style home on a tri-pod--on the roof, of course.
Installing antennas for the digital age, I am learning that less is more, and higher is usually better. I prefer an off-shore antenna by Electronic Master. It has a small gain adjustment dial inside the balun (the box on the antenna where you connect the co-ax, the cover slides up) and a small ac adapter you plug into the wall, usually behind the TV. Great for one TV installations but a booster may be necessary if you split to up to 4 TV like I usually do.
It's actually catching everything from Toronto off the back side--which I still can't believe and it was picking up CKCO-13 from Kitchener and CKVP-42's transmitter is almost across the street.
