Your kidding right?
Because when I set up a VPN or remote access for our customers systems, I test them to make sure they work (off the local network) ........
Because if an iPhone is connected to a wireless network (LAN) that doesn't have internet yet, it's cell data doesn't work, ......(my android does!)
Because on my PC, I can actually look at one (of the hundreds) of wireless networks I've connected to and see what the password is........
As I stated before, each one has things they do better than the other. I'm not a narrow minded person who ignores the other side of the coin because this side is shinier.
This information, as well as every other type of password is readily available on the Mac by invoking Keychain Access.
