Actually, this is one of the major reasons for the parting of the ways between Samsung and Apple.   Since Sammy was essentially working as a subcontractor for Apple, they were privvy to classified and proprietary information that a typical competitor would have never given access to. 

Samsung took the information, figured out what Apple was working on and stole the ingredients, the recipe, and the entire kitchen.  

For outsiders looking in, we just see Apple as sue happy litigious M F'er's  but in reality, they're actually going after what was their intellectual proerty in the first place.  

What good comes from it?  

The new MacPro will be made in America.
