Are the values for the variables like TV Power On, etc. stored permanently or do they default to false after I run a power off macro?

Said another way, when I go to turn my equipment on, can I assume that all the Power On variables are "false" so when I run a macro it will know to power on the unit? My processor does not have separate on/off switches so I have to keep track of its state.
