I would probably try to turn the client and/or designer on to a competitor. Fortress is nice but they certainly are not the only game in town. I probably wouldnt shy away from letting Fortress know they f'd up if I sold $40k of United Leather or whatever.
I would do this. It would require more work to prove why someone else is better than Fortress but it would be worth it. I'm very vindictive and would do this out of spite even if it meant I had to waste 2 days just researching why United was better.
