I have a Logitech Harmony 890 remote that both me and my wife hate. It doesn't always works, sometimes doesn't charge, and feels awkward in our hands and is hard to operate without shifting it around in our hands. We think it is awful and we want to replace it with something else.

I want to get a new remote that has the following criteria:
- easy to use (don't have to click multiple screens to get to a basic option), I like the idea of the new Harmony touch screen, though have read reviews that you have to swipe too much to get access to basic options
- expandable in the future when I get new devices
- easy to program
- easy to hold in one hand
- Budget: under $300, though will go a bit higher if necessary.
- Batteries: indifferent to type, though my current Harmony remote sometimes does not charge in the cradle, and I want to make sure to never deal with this again, guessing it is isolated to just my device?
- Interface style: buttons and maybe some touch screen, though want buttons
- Do not want line of sight issues
- Programming: I like programming via PC programming the Harmony, though I'm open to other ways

I'm currently using the following devices:
- Denon AVR-3808CI
- AppleTV
- Samsung LCD display
- Sony Blu Ray
- Xbox 360
- Directv DVR

1. Can anyone make some recommendations about remotes I can look into?

Thanks!
