Thank you everyone. I really like the idea of using rs232 to trigger ra2 scenes. That will be best for him but unfortunately he doesn't know the industry well and doesn't see the benefits of a ra2 lighting system rather then z-wave. To my understanding there is no comparison between z-wave and ra2. Hell.... My ra2 wakes me up every morning. I doubt total connect will do that. In his defense cost is starting to rise quickly with a new house and z-wave switches are a lot cheaper. Oh well...
