If you want to be able to see the laser easier in daylight you need to look into a green laser. We picked up a used Johnson rotary green laser from a contractor going out of business for 450 dollars. Night and day better visibility compared to red laser. When new these things are quite expensive...but there's always people getting rid of items such as this. I think the one we snatched up retails for about 1,600.
