What if I have the latest firmware and still have the issue? I went in to purchase a lower grade Yamaha receiver (RX-V371) but got an amazing deal on the 609. I was VERY reluctant to go with Onkyo after hearing of issues from a friend and internet. Not to mention having 10+ years of trouble free operation from my Yamaha rx-v595a. So disappointed in Onkyo. Now I have to disconnect everything, box it up, drive to store and return.
Should have trusted your instinct and stuck with Yamaha. Lesson learned, a deal is not always worth it. Not knowing your system, needs and budget go with an RX-A if you're going back to Yamaha.
