Obviously I can see how newcomers constantly asking for new remote advice could get old, so I will do my best to be detailed and brief. I will list my current equipment and follow with a description of my immediate future needs. I believe myself tech-savvy enough to be able to use the so called "dealer" software. So, if possible I would like to be able to have the programming software for future use.

I am in the process of putting together a ZWave system including door locks, lights, receptacles, IP Cameras (2), etc. I need IR/RF/ AND Zwave compatibility. I understand this is not a small feat. My budget is between 500 to 1000 dollars. That MUST cover both the remote as well as any external controllers that are needed. I already have money set aside for the Zwave products, so that doesn't factor into this budget.
