Call Bose. Many Bose products CAN be controlled by IR, They are not closed.
Third party control of the Bose RF frequency cannot happen (it is their "channel") but via ir or another RF "base station" to IR is possible.
Tivo can be controlled IR or IP.
I recommend RTI.
