You should have tested whether that learned power button works (I'm sure it doesn't).

I can't figure out the translation rules for these codes with a correct learn. I might even need correct learns of a few different signals.

I won't know till I see those correct learns, but I think what the engineering dept gave you might not even be codes for IR signals. Does that TV have an rs232 input connection? I think those may be rs232 codes rather than IR.

Your learned signal is bad because you pressed the original remote button too soon during the learning process. I've given more details on that same issue in many other threads that you might be able to find with a google search of RC (I don't think RC searches are flexible enough).

I should have read more carefully the first time. That phrase says the signals they gave you definitely are not IR signals. They are rs232 or something similar and they can't be sent by IR.
