Does anyone have any light that they can shead on the new DVD Audio standard. I understand that it will be using Meridian's Lossless Packet algorythm. Which means it will supply 5.1 channels but will not be compatible with current DVD Video players. Panasonic/Technics says they plan on having a DVD universal player available in Spring of 99 but you will still need a Decoder to playback the analog audio signal.
