I live in NM and I don't have a local AVAD branch (AZ is closest), but I do have an ADI location near me.

ADI;
+ Awesome site to site transfer speed
+ Fast MFG to site transfer, provided MFG doesn't require minimum order (Qty or $ amount)
+ When they screwed up an order, they always tried to make up for it by next or 2nd day air delivery; sometimes straight to my shop (so I didn't have to drive to branch again)
+ If picking up things at local branch, there is never shipping charge. I used that on few custom parts (MA racks) where going direct or with another Disty would have cost me big bucks
+ Helpful staff at my branch. Nice to deal with
- Very limited knowledge when it comes to CI products (ADI is still primarily CCTV/Security company)
+ I like the new website. Tracking orders/invoices/payments and doing on-line transactions (orders/payments) is very easy.

- Last time I checked, and it's been about 2 years ago, on-line orders were processed by local branch. In other words, my on-line order had to be pulled by local branch personal and fulfilled. Few times they forgot to check on on-line orders for few days, so that delayed things.

AVAD:
Don't do much business with them due to location.
- I did get an email few weeks ago requesting tax exempt certificate even thought I'm out of state, but they can't figure out who I need to talk to, and the few people they told me to call never returned voice mails I left. The on-line system they want me to follow gave me their EIN (Federal Tax ID) not my NM State CRS #, which is a state NTTC (Non Taxable Transaction Certificate) #, so I can't complete the form with my State IRS.

So far the only people I haven't had issues with are: WorthD$#^, Fred's place and Snap. Great customer service, no S/H fees over certain amount, and Snap's awesome website.

I agree with you guys, if I could find one disty that has all my products and has the attributes of any one of the last three places I listed, that would be my only supplier.
