I really don't understand why Lutron, Crestron, or any other company makes trim plates in a million different colors but can't produce a simple rj45 to match. Have a job in progress where someone (client or designer) decided every room needs a different shade from the Crestron color palette for every receptacle, despite the fact that all data jacks are going in the baseboard. Does Panduit or any other mfg have a color-swatch kit, and preferably one that tells me whether their "biscuit" is the same shade as someone else's "burnt cream"?
All you can do is send them a sample of what you have available and a spec sheet authorizing them to source their own if your options are not satisfactory.
