I don't know why your learn ended up as 0044 0000.  But the effect is that this entire learned signal will be sent once, and if your remote tries to repeat it, it will have to send all 68 burst pairs again.  I would have thought that the remote would have recognized that the signal is two duplicate sets of 34 burst pairs.

0022 0022 will allow the remote to send 34 burst pairs, and if the button is held down, additonal sets of 34 burst pairs.

However, it is quite possible that yuor remote will actually send 3 sets of signals, even for a short tap of the button.
