The FAQ here lists the RC9500 as a single 'worldwide' model, but the user manual states that the RF comes in 2 variants (418 MHz and 434 MHz for US/EU resepctively).

Many thanks for your suggestion about swapping the RF board from another unit. I have a couple of broken RU950s and a RC5400 which could be potential doners.

Any idea if the transplant is possible and how to go about it?

My original querstion remains - is there any way to tell if I have a US or EU version of the RC9500 from the outside?
