I'd agree, being green at Crestron, you definitely want someone onsite. From the little information you've posted, you're looking at several thousand dollars at a minimum. As the poster before me mentioned, you have no choice but to start from scratch without the original program. You may already know that, I don't know, but just wanted to add confirmation of that fact.
Usually when I mention the hourly rate of Crestron programming (about $150/hr) to folks interested in changes, people suddenly begin thinking their system is perfectly fine.
