880 might be better in some way... (same harwdare, just the PC software is different) but I much more like to have 810's Activities/Devices/Help than 880's Watch/Listen/Favorites buttons.
Maybe it's just me, but I find it much more usefull to have all activities under one button, than to give them two (watch/listen), anyway why would I have separate activities for, let's say, SACD and DVD if it comes from same device? Also, without Devices, I question the usability of the remote... never tried, but might be that I will have to use genuine remotes from time to time.

The remotes are very different and the 880 will do much more than the 810. You can setup the remote anyway you like and have all the commands of each individual device at anytime. Problem for many is it's not wizard based. The the reason you'd have SACD and DVD is don't need TV on for SACD.

If you really like activities and devices there's always Harmony.
