In my home system before I went away from Adagio, I had an AADS and a theater. The theater I had as part of the system by tricking SB into thinking it was the 7th zone on an AAE (which didnt exist in the actual system). I used an RTI T2C to control the system via a Crestron 433 antenna. (However, that was a huge PITA, and its just as well to get a Crestron remote). But by keeping the theater on as the 7th zone, I was able to get some feedback onto my touchpanels as to if the zone was on or off and what source was chosen. To control the volume in the theater from the touchpanel as if it were a true Crestron zone, I had to build some hidden buttons with programming that would override the default volume commands when the theater was chosen, Ive done this to several customers systems as well with good success now that I've worked through the bugs.
