I usually spec a CLW-DIM-EX at every location and dont use slaves. You just cap off the load wire on the dimmer at the remote location. This way you dont need to figure out where the load is connected and whether you have a 3 ,4, 5 way when u spec a job. Just count the amount of dimmers / switches in the house and replace with all DIM-EX.
So you can state for a fact this will work? Using all Express Dimmers? Much easier to just order it that way. Cost isn't much more than the slave.
I'm no electrician. How does this work without a traveler?
