I think the OP meant that Logitech provided a replacement H1, not just the battery. In response to your thoughts about the company's balance of liability vs profit, I agree, but just like in the movie, A Class Action, where it was cheaper for the car manufacturer to pay for dead people than to recall the car to fix the issue, that's standard industry practice and I would find any company behaving this way to be no worse than any other.
