I got the systembuilder friendly one from the yahoo group and it looks like it will work.
Question though:
What do I need to put in for it to work? We're newbs with security integration. The system currently has security programmed into the keypads and it works (mostly) so can I assume that just using this NX-8E module will work for sending keypads commands/arming/disarming? We're not doing any polling or anything fancy. Just keypad and arm/stay/panics etc. All the commands are in the module I have and the system is currently hooked up already to crestron via serial. Just afraid of all hell breaking loose when I upload our program.
If you are just doing basic arming/disarming, basically what you would do on a regular keypad, get one of the GE NX-587E virtual keypad modules. $70, connects to the keypad bus and has a serial port in the other end. Instant feedback, bullet proof with Crestron. Goes in on every job we do. Simpler and works just like another keypad on the system.
