The 980 is my best selling URC remote and with good reason. Not only do you have a high resolution screen, but the ability to not only customize the interface, but also removable hard keys that make better sense for some situations. In my opinion the 880 is a fine remote, but resembles a Harmony too much for my liking. Those looking for a superior remote and experience will really enjoy the 980. However, with attention to budget and feasibility (or how much you are going to use it) the 880 still programs with CCP which is extremely powerful and can get a handle on most if not all types of setups. I have an MX-880 in my guest room which is tesement to the ease of use.
