One of the big issues with those discussions, is that some people are unable to remove "personal" from "discussion", and start to take everything as directed pot shots. Then they fire back slightly harder, and it ends up generating bad feelings between members. So anyone entering into such discussions should realize that what's said in the thread... stays in the thread.

I've actually considered creating a "Boiler Room" forum for exactly this sort of thing.
