I was programming MX-980 in CCP yesterday and noticed few discrete Power On/Off missing for Samsung UN46C6300SF and the DirecTV HR24-500.

I called tech support and after he went thru all DTV codesets and didn't find any discrete On/Off functions, he gave me the standard company line of: "we get our codes from MFG, and we don't verify them".

Now granted they can't possibly test every code, but wouldn't you think that one of those guys in New York subscribes to DirecTV and hopefully uses an URC remote? Wouldn't that someone say: "hey, there are no discrete codes for this device, let me fix that".

I guess I was spoiled by Pronto's database.

What do you guys do other than build your own database? Or do you?
