If the old firmware works better than the new, why not use the old firmware? If there are bugs in the older version, they will eventually show up, or you might be lucky and not call on any of the things that didn't work well with the older firmware.
Great idea,pal, except the fact that the old FW doesn't allow to acces the full amount of on-board memory.
