I would like to know if anyone has controlled an HAI automation system through RS-232 and if so, where can I find the commands? I have an OmniIIe system with thermostat, UPB lighting, temp sensors, etc etc, and I would like some form of control through my RTI remote which can do 1 way RS-232 from its processor(RP6). I see that the board has three serial ports and they can be assigned to OmniLink, Prolink, UPB, RadioRA, CetraLite, Vizia RF Z-Wave, and HAI Hifi. I am looking only to send commands to the HAI system to do some basic operations on it.

I know you posted this in 2007 but it might still be usable for you or others looking for answers.

I've posted the solution using pro-link message commands that might suit what you are trying to do in using simple TWO way solution here: [Link: remotecentral.com]

I have also added new information on the same thread on an alternative way to do this without using messages. You can see this here: [Link: remotecentral.com]

Hope this help.
