well, as follow up, Roomie (at Rovi booth at CES this week), total price $29.98, has all my devices working over IP, I create my own macros, they added my projector after I sent them the commands in like 4 hours on New Years day, and it works on every iOS device in my house. I think big $$ remotes are going away. Who does not have a handheld that works on their lan? As more and more equipment isIP connected you will have many more options to control them. The only piece I have that is not is the screen, and it can take a line out signal from the projector. I get two way from my DirecTV, Denon, DVD, JVC Projector, and alas, my URC is still at the programmer, but probably has a couple of pics (which any downloadable can do), and the macros will be obsolete by the time I get them. Top $ remotes are a dumb and soon to be obsolete busibness model, clearly for wealthy non-technical people who don't like to tinker. Sure the iPads and iPhones were not free, but, for this application they were becasue I owned them...
