I want to use one of the relays on the back of my MSC-400 to trigger on the amp that powers my bedroom speakers.

I have a mono trigger cable that has been cut to expose the red and white wires.

The ports on the back of the MSC are an unswitched 12 +/- power and the relay has Com (common), NO (normally open) and NC (normally closed).

I know that I will use the NO which I will issue a close command to complete the circuit to turn the amp on. I am just confused about the exact wiring.

Do I run my white wire from the trigger to the - of the 12v power then run red wire from trigger to NO of relay and a jumper wire from + of 12v power?

Thanks.
