yeah, true URC will take time, just a bummer to buy a whole new gadget for one device but may make a cleaner set-up.  True, JVC should have an iApp.  Rommie Remote created one for IP control on my iPhone 6 hours after I sent them an email requesting it yesterday on NY Day, pretty responsive when you are the little guy I guess.  All the codes are published and online on JVC's site.  the Roomie is of course not a URC MX-5000 but I have a device immediately while I wait for a pro to program my URC, that is a pain, I am pretty technical, worked in IT for 19 years, but not allowed to program my own remote.
