3. Does the mini plug wiggle in the jack, or is it nicely tight

Yes, work perfectly (I use it with my Pronto SBC RU940)

As Lyndel alludes, my focus in this question was not quite right. I was wondering if the JACK is loose, thus causing the plug to be able to wiggle. A plug that works fine in another remote will wiggle if you plug it into a remote with a bad jack connection.

I've programmed most Prontoid remote models but my favorite has been the RC5200 so I'm surprised that I don't recognize that screen shot. Are you using Touch Screen Setup as found in the files section here?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
