Hello -

I bought a mx 880 + software from a local installer (Minnesota). I don't have a very sophisticated system to program:

- Pioneer AVR
- Panasonic TV
- OPPO blu ray
- TiVO
- XBOX 360

Everything has discrete commands, so my question is do I gain anything by using variables to create my power on/off commands?

If not, what are some good uses of variables?

I'm coming from Logitech harmony's (my installer kind of shook his head when I asked if he sold Harminy's as I looked at his collection of RTI and URC remotes)
