Two excellent remotes can handle your equipment, and do macros. The older remotes you mentioned won't be able to control the BluRay player.
RCA RCRP05B <$20 at Best Buy, Walgreens, Sears, etc.
Sony RM VLZ620 <$25
The RCA is highly programmable using "keymoves". If the remote doesn't have a function built in (say discrete on/off, e.g.) you can manually enter in a 5 digit EFC to assign the function to a button.
